Electrically Conductive Elastomers (ECE) for EMI/RFI Shielding
Leader Tech’s Electrically Conductive Elastomers (ECE) combine EMI/RFI shielding with environmental and chemical resistance for demanding electronic applications. As a result, they help protect sensitive components from electromagnetic interference while maintaining reliable performance in challenging operating conditions.
Leader Tech is approved for 10 MIL-DTL-83528 materials and offers more than 2,000 standard part numbers. In addition, our U.S.-based compounding, molding, extrusion, and die-cutting capabilities support short lead times, rapid prototyping, custom designs, and ITAR-compliant production.
The ECE product line includes TechSIL conductive gasket solutions manufactured from proprietary silicone and fluorosilicone formulations. Furthermore, these materials contain conductive fillers such as silver, silver/copper, silver/aluminum, silver/nickel, silver/glass, nickel/aluminum, and nickel-coated graphite. Therefore, they provide dependable shielding performance across a wide range of applications.
A variety of standard gasket profiles are available, along with custom extruded, molded, sheet stock, and die-cut solutions. Consequently, engineers can select conductive gasket materials based on shielding requirements, environmental exposure, compression needs, and application geometry.
Electrically Conductive Elastomers provide shielding effectiveness up to 110 dB across a broad temperature range. Moreover, they perform well in electronic enclosures, access panels, connectors, military systems, aerospace electronics, medical devices, and industrial equipment.
Finally, our application engineers can help develop custom material formulations and gasket configurations to meet specific design requirements. To learn more, request or download the complete TechSIL Electrically Conductive Elastomers catalog.
