O-Rings for EMI/RFI Shielding Applications

O-Rings from Leader Tech include TechSIL round profile molded EMI/RFI shielding solutions designed for precise sealing and reliable performance. These O-Rings are available in over fifty sizes to fit a wide range of applications.

They feature cross sections ranging from .030” to .139” and inside diameters from .145” to 3.987”. In addition, TechSIL O-Rings can be molded using all sixteen standard compounds to meet different performance requirements.

Flexible Design and Material Options

These O-Rings can be used with or without a groove, depending on your design needs. As a result, they offer flexibility for various installation methods.

Additional sizes and custom compound options are also available upon request to support specific applications.

Precision Tolerances for Reliable Performance


Leader Tech O-Rings are manufactured with precise tolerances to ensure consistent performance. Tolerances on dimension B are ±.003″ for diameters of .070″ and below, and ±.005″ for diameters from .071″ to .200″.

For dimension C, tolerances are ±.010″ for parts up to 1.500″, ±.015″ for parts from 1.500″ to 2.500″, and ±.020″ for parts up to 4.500″. Therefore, these O-Rings provide dependable sealing across different sizes and applications.

Total Mass Loss (TML): In general, the material is considered acceptable if the total mass loss (TML) is less than 1% and the volatile condensable mass (VCM) is less than
0.1% of the initial sample mass.
Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM): If the CVCM exceeds 0.1%, the material fails.
Water Vapor Regained (WVR): If the difference between the TML and the WVR does not exceed 1.0% (and the CVCM does not exceed 0.10%), the material passes the test.
