Waveguide B

Waveguide B for EMI/RFI Shielding Applications

Waveguide B solutions from Leader Tech include TechSIL molded waveguide EMI/RFI shielding conductive elastomer gaskets. These gaskets are available in twenty-six different sizes and come in both round and rectangular shapes.

Each Waveguide B gasket features a standard thickness of .027” and is offered in multiple length and width options. As a result, they can fit a wide range of application requirements.

Material Options and Customization

These Waveguide B gaskets can be molded using all eleven MIL-DTL-83528 approved compounds. In addition, this allows engineers to select the right material for specific performance and environmental needs.

Additional sizes and custom configurations are also available upon request to meet unique design requirements.

Applications of Waveguide B Gaskets

Waveguide B gaskets are widely used in high-frequency electronic systems where reliable EMI/RFI shielding is required. These applications include military systems, aerospace equipment, telecommunications devices, and industrial electronics.

In addition, Waveguide B solutions help maintain signal integrity and reduce electromagnetic interference in sensitive environments. As a result, they improve overall system performance and reliability.

These gaskets are also ideal for applications that require precise fit and consistent shielding performance across different operating conditions.

Waveguide B

Total Mass Loss (TML): In general, the material is considered acceptable if the total mass loss (TML) is less than 1% and the volatile condensable mass (VCM) is less than
0.1% of the initial sample mass.
Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM): If the CVCM exceeds 0.1%, the material fails.
Water Vapor Regained (WVR): If the difference between the TML and the WVR does not exceed 1.0% (and the CVCM does not exceed 0.10%), the material passes the test.
